SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY
Founded in 1984 by Alberto Massirone, the Agorà - Scientific Society of Aesthetic Medicine is dedicated to the development and training of Aesthetic Medicine in Italy and globally.
The Ministry of Health officially recognizes Agorà as one of the authorized entities entrusted with issuing guidelines for Aesthetic Medicine; these guidelines serve as a reference for physicians and professionals in the field, ensuring adherence to the highest standards in the practice of Aesthetic Medicine.
Agorà strives to unite physicians who approach Aesthetic Medicine as a preventive and social discipline, with a primary focus on promoting the psycho-physical well-being of individuals.
Through continuous scientific initiatives, the Society remains committed to advancing the reliability, safety, and ethical standards of Aesthetic Medicine.

The Agorà Clinical and Educational Center is a cutting-edge facility that combines state-of-the-art outpatient services with advanced educational and research capabilities. Equipped with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, the center provides dedicated spaces for physicians and serves as a hub for clinical research. It also operates as a reference center for the analysis and management of complications, underscoring our unwavering commitment to safety and excellence in aesthetic medicine. Furthermore, the center hosts corporate events that bring together physicians from around the globe, reinforcing its role as a leader in the field.
TRAINING ACTIVITIES
S.M.I.E.M. POST - UNIVERISTY SCHOOL OF AESTHETIC MEDICINE
Agorà founded the S.M.I.E.M. in 1986, and over the years, it has become a benchmark for excellence in the field of Aesthetic Medicine education. With 41 years of experience, the school has trained more than 1,600 physicians, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel in this constantly evolving discipline.
The school’s mission is to provide a comprehensive education that combines theory with hands-on practice. Physicians are trained to approach patients with precision, using accurate diagnostics to identify their needs and propose effective and safe treatments in Aesthetic Medicine.
The numbers speak for themselves: over 900 training courses delivered, and more than 2,100 hours of practical training offered every year. These achievements are supported by a well-rounded educational program that includes classroom lectures, interactive webinars, sessions with experts and tutors, and both group and individual practical exercises.
Thanks to its dedication to innovation and quality, S.M.I.E.M. has established itself as a trusted leader in shaping the future of Aesthetic Medicine. It continues to inspire and prepare physicians to meet the challenges of the profession with confidence and expertise.
LASER THERAPY AND LASERSURGERY COURSE
This course trains physicians in the
fundamentals of laser technology for
Aesthetic Medicine. It covers the physical
principles, clinical applications, and key
treatment techniques through theoretical
lessons, simulator-based training, and
hands-on practice on patients in
specialized laser clinics.
ANATOMY ON CADAVER LAB
This advanced course is designed to refine
participants' understanding of anatomy and
enhance their injectable techniques.
Through hands-on training on cadaver
specimens, the program provides a
detailed exploration of anatomical
structures crucial for safe and effective
procedures. Participants will also benefit
from the use of cutting-edge educational
tools, including ultrasound guidance and
injection simulators.
THEMATIC TRAINING COURSES
One-day training sessions, designed to
provide an in-depth focus on a specific
topic within the field of Aesthetic Medicine.
Each course offers a comprehensive
exploration of the subject, combining
theoretical knowledge with practical
insights to ensure participants gain
a well-rounded understanding.
AGORÀ ACADEMY
FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANT
This course trains current and prospective
medical assistants working with Aesthetic
Physicians, Plastic Surgeons, and
Dermatologists. It provides foundational
knowledge of Aesthetic Medicine
treatments, patient interaction, and
practice management. Key topics include
communication strategies, patient
compliance, pre- and post-visit care,
marketing essentials, and tools for quality
control and customer loyalty.
AGORÀ CONGRESS
Since 1998, the Agorà International Congress of Aesthetic Medicine has been a key platform for sharing cutting-edge scientific evidence and innovative methodologies in the field. Held annually at MiCo – Milano Convention Centre, Europe’s largest congress center, it serves as a global reference for education and knowledge exchange.
In 2024, the congress spanned 22,000 sqm, attracting 7,018 participants, 459 speakers, and 198 exhibitors. The program featured 654 presentations across 99 sessions, 43 company symposia, and 27 live injection demonstrations, highlighting its commitment to advancing the science and practice of Aesthetic Medicine.
